Windsor adds H1N1 clinics to schedule

Windsor, Ont.'s medical officer has added two H1N1 flu clinics to the city's schedule.
The additional clinics will take place:
- Friday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit at 1005 Ouellette Ave.
- Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Windsor Armouries at 37 University Ave. E.
Local immunization efforts continue to be focused on "the people most vulnerable to serious outcomes from this flu," according to Dr. Allen Heimann.
Those include:
- People under 65 with chronic medical conditions.
- Pregnant women (there will be a separate line for pregnant women).
- Healthy children from six months to five years old.
- Persons residing in remote and isolated settings and communities.
- Health-care workers involved in pandemic response or the delivery of essential health-care services.
- Household contacts and care providers of persons at high risk who cannot be immunized or may not respond to vaccines.
