Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Windsor, Essex and Leamington.

The agency says "significant general rainfall" of 15-25 millimetres of rain is likely over Monday and Tuesday.

Rain is supposed to start falling at noon Monday and continue overnight into Tuesday

The higher amounts will likely be closer to lakes Erie and Ontario, the agency said

On a more spring-like note, the warmest weather of the season is likely to arrive on Thursday when temperatures could hit 20 C.
