A police dog in London is recovering from surgery after being injured on the job.

A police dog in London is recovering from surgery after being injured on the job.

Bosco punctured an artery when he stepped on a scrap piece of metal while tracking a wanted man in St. Thomas.

The dog was injured Thursday at 2 a.m.

Bosco is out of hospital and recovering.

Meanwhile, the police found the suspect in a nearby home, where he allegedly assaulted a police officer and resisted arrest.

The 31-year-old has been charged with assaulting police and resisting arrest.
