A Pain Court, Ont. woman is charged with public mischief because police say her account of a car crash to appears to be phony.
The 25-year-old woman was driving on Sheldon Avenue in Chatham last month when she failed to make the turn on to Lowe Street, lost control, hit a power pole and went into a ditch, according to Chatham-Kent police.
She told police she had to swerve away from a large blue garbage can in the middle of the road.
