OPP confirm body found is Noelle Paquette
Noelle Paquette disappeared walking home New Year's Eve.
Lambton OPP are confirming the body of a woman found yesterday morning near Sarnia is Noelle Paquette, who disappeared after leaving a downtown party in Sarnia on New Year's Eve.
Police say the 27-year-old was last seen walking south on Christina Street in Sarnia.
A body of a woman was found by Lambton OPP at 10:30AM on Wednesday.
Lambton OPP spokesperson Const. Chrystal Jones said, "The victim was located in a woodlot on Mandaumin Road between Petrolia Line and Rokeby Line in St Clair township."
In a media release on Thursday, Lambton OPP confirmed the body is that of Paquette.
A post mortem will take place in the coming days at London Health Sciences Centre.
The death is being treated as suspicious, and Sarnia police and the OPP are working together on the investigation.
