No tax increase for Windsor, predicts city treasurer
It appears Windsor city council will be able to approve another budget with no tax increase.
Administration is close to finalizing the draft budget for council members to review.
Onorio Colucci, the city treasurer said, it hasn't been easy, but the recommendation will be no tax hike.
"We believe we're going to be able to put something before council that will keep the status quo on the tax levy," he said.
Windsor hasn't passed on a tax hike five consecutive years and in six of the last eight.
"It's been quite difficult. Obviously, it becomes progressively more difficult," Colucci said.
The draft budget documents are expected to be ready sometime next week.
Council is to start its budget meetings in March.
