Two motorcyclists clocked traveling more than 200 km/h in an 80 km/h zone near Sarnia are facing charges.

Provincial Police in Lambton county said they received several complaints on September 26 about two motorcycles racing in the area of 40 Highway north of LaSalle Line.

An officer approached the bikers, who sped away, stated an OPP media release.

The motorcyclists were later caught in traffic and an officer "took control of the motorcycles by removing the keys" to stop the men from speeding off, according to the release.

Two men, 35 and 26, had their motorcycles and driver's licenses seized for seven days and have been charged with racing.
