The extent of the man's injuries is unknown.

A 48-year-old man has died in hospital after he crashed his motorcycle in Windsor's Sandwich Towne Sunday morning.

Police say the driver hit a pole at Sandwich and Brock Streets around 10 a.m.

The bike left the road, severed a light pole and landed on the sidewalk.

A police officer found the man pinned underneath his motorcycle.

The officer immediately asked a crowd that had gathered to help lift the bike off the man.

Three unidentified men stepped forward and assisted the officer lift the motorcycle off of the victim.

He was taken to hospital but died of his injuries.
