Mother accused of making web video of sex with dog, child
An Ontario woman accused of having sex with her young child and a dog and streaming a live video of the act online is to return to a Windsor, Ont., court on Tuesday.
The woman, who is from Lakeshore, Ont., on Lake St. Clair, faces charges of sexual interference, sexual exploitation, bestiality, sexual assault and the importing and distribution of child pornography.
She has pleaded guilty only to the importing and distribution of child pornography.
The name of the woman cannot be published in order to protect the child. Police are not releasing the child's age or gender.
The woman appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice on Monday and is to return to court Tuesday.
"We ordered a psychiatric assessment and a pre-sentence report after the plea was entered," said Crown prosecutor Shelly McGuire.
The Crown received that information, but sentencing has been delayed because it's not clear whether the woman is prepared to plead guilty to some of the other charges, McGuire told CBC News.
Person who saw web video phoned police
The case came to light in April 2009 after someone reported seeing a video online of a woman behaving inappropriately and contacted Windsor police.
The case was handed over to the Ontario Provincial Police, who searched the accused woman's home, seizing several computers and placing the child in the custody of the Children's Aid Society.
She has been in police custody since her arrest in April 2009.
The Crown said the case may proceed to a preliminary hearing or a trial after Tuesday's court appearance.
