Mega-hospital survey reveals public's preferences
Results from an online survey about the proposed new mega-hospital are in.
Two weeks ago the committee over-seeing the project asked for public input.
594 people participated.
They were asked to choose which factors mattered most to them.
The top three concerns for those who responded are: proximity to emergency services (police, fire), availability of parking, and access to public transit.
The responses will be used by the mega-hospital site selection committee to help chose the eventual location for the proposed new facility.
The whole process is expected to take 7-10 years.
Estimates for building the proposed mega-hospital come in at more than a billion dollars.
