Man swung machete at neighbour in music dispute, police say
An 18-year-old Windsor man has been arrested after swinging a machete at his neighbour.
Windsor police say the incident happened Sunday at about 11:30 a.m. when a 24-year-old man allegedly knocked on his neighbour's door to speak to him about loud music. The victim claims the neighbour answered the door with a machete in his hand, and swung it at the man.
The complainant, who was with a friend, headed back to his apartment, uninjured, and called the police.
Police said the alleged victim and suspect are known to each other.
Police seized the machete and charged an 18-year-old man with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
