Members of the Windsor fire department have recovered the body of a man from the Detroit River.

The body is "tentatively that of an 83-year-old male," according to Windsor police.

The man was not listed as missing, police said.

The body was found floating at about 8:30 a.m. ET on Thursday by a pedestrian in front of Assumption Park, near the corner of Riverside Drive West and California Avenue.
