Police say a Chrysler employee fatally stabbed a co-worker at a Detroit factory before killing himself in a city park.
Detroit police Sgt. Alan Quinn says a man was stabbed Thursday morning. Quinn says the suspect fled the factory and was found in the park, where he killed himself.
The Chrysler plant employs more than 3,000 workers.
Chrysler spokeswoman Jodi Tinson says no other employees were injured. Workers on the shift were sent home.
According to NBC affiliate WDIV in Detroit, police said the man who committed suicide killed the man at the plant because he was involved with his wife.
The incident happened at the Jefferson North plant, which employs more than 3,000 workers on two shifts. Chrysler builds its Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango at the plant.
