London man caught driving 197 km/h on Highway 401, police say
A 20-year-old London man has been charged with stunt driving after police say he was caught driving nearly twice the posted speed limit Friday on Highway 401.
Just before 1 a.m., an OPP officer spotted a speeding Honda Civic on the westbound side of the highway, near Queens Line in Chatham-Kent.
A news release says the vehicle was clocked at 197 km/h on a radar gun.
The man's driver's licence has been suspended and his vehicle has been impounded.
