Library CEO Holmes still sick, board mum
Members of the Windsor Public Library board are mum about the future of CEO Barry Holmes.
He has once again submitted a doctor's note that states he is not well enough to return to work.
Holmes began calling in sick after the disclosure of Coun. Al Maghnieh's misuse of a library-issued credit card.
Maghnieh resigned as board chair and paid back the $8,400 he charged to the card.
Coun. Jo-Anne Gignac is a new member of the board.
"I think we have to respect the fact that he has presented doctor notes, he is not well," Gignac said. "We have to respect that. We're looking forward to Mr. Holmes returning to work. We hope he gets better soon."
Holmes has been on sick leave for nearly six weeks.
