LaSalle woman charged with smuggling handguns

A woman from LaSalle faces a number of charges after being caught trying to re-enter Canada with loaded handguns.
Canadian Border Services inspected the woman's vehicle on Sunday at the Ambassador Bridge.
Agents found three undeclared, loaded 9-mm pistols and two prohibited high capacity magazines.
The woman is charged with making false statements, possession of unlawfully imported goods, and smuggling.
Windsor police have also charged her with criminal offences.
