Hwy 401 lanes reopen after tractor-trailer rollover

An on-ramp connecting westbound Highway 3 with westbound Highway 401 has been reopened following a tractor-trailer rollover.

The rollover occured on the on-ramp connecting westbound Highway 3 to westbound Highway 401 near Howard Avenue

One person was trapped inside a tractor trailer after the rig rolled on the Highway 401 on-ramp near Howard Avenue late Thursday afternoon. 

Tecumseh fire fighters helped extract the driver and shut down the on-ramp that connects to Highway 3. The ramp and a lane of westbound traffic was closed for several hours, but reopened just after 8:30 p.m.

The truck, which was reported to have rolled shortly before 4 p.m., was not carrying any hazardous materials.

One person was sent to hospital with minor injuries.
