The Ontario Provincial Police say human remains were found in a minivan that burned in Kingsville, Ont., on Thursday.

Kingsville OPP and the Kingsville fire department were dispatched to the 1600 block of Road 2 East at 8:10 p.m.

They arrived to find a 1998 Plymouth Voyager engulfed in flames in the middle of a field. After firefighters brought the fire under control, they noticed the body inside the minivan.

The human remains and the vehicle will be taken to Toronto for an autopsy and forensic examination. Police don't know the identity of the victim.
