A geyser erupted at the corner of Janette Avenue and Park Street in Windsor on Monday morning.

Water coming from a manhole was spewing five metres or 16 feet in the air.

The geyser was the result of a broken valve and lasted for about 30 minutes before work crews got it under control.

There was some localized flooding and residents in the area were told their water pressure would be affected until about 3:30 p.m.
