Ford extends deadline for Windsor workers to accept jobs

Laid off Ford workers in Windsor have another week to decide whether they want to accept jobs in either Oakville, Bramalea or Edmonton.

The deadline was Monday, but it has been extended to Nov. 12.

The automaker has sent out more notices to laid off workers who had not received one.

The company has offered retirement incentive packages at some of its other Canadian operations.

Just how many Windsor workers accept the jobs won't be known until later in the month.

About 500 Ford employees are laid off in Windsor.
