Two people are in police custody after a fatal crash Friday morning.

It happened around 2:45 a.m. at Lauzon Rd. and Tranby Ave.

Police tell CBC News a 20 year old LaSalle woman, the occupant of an SUV, died of injuries suffered in the crash, while several others suffered less serious injuries.

Kat Lappan was awake at the time and heard the crash.

"I saw people exiting the car, they were yelling to call 911. I was screaming from my balcony. I called them, but I don't think they heard me. They were walking around. I just threw on my coat and came down here to see if they needed anything."

"There was a young girl, and she was talking to me, and I said, 'It's OK. The police are coming.' Because she kept asking for the police. I said, 'They're coming.' She said, 'I'm in shock. I'm in shock.' I said, 'I know. Just keep calm, and they'll come take care of it.'"

The two people arrested were in different vehicles.
