Facebook video shows police headquarters explode, man arrested
A man has been arrested for allegedly posting on Facebook a video depicting Windsor Police headquarters being bombed.
Police say the man also threatened Windsor police.
Police began their investigation after they received a phone call from local media regarding a video that was circulating on Facebook.
Investigators were able to access the Facebook account and watched the video.
Police say it shows shows a rocket launcher being "racked" and fired at Windsor Police Headquarters, which then explodes.
Police say whoever made the video used an "FX" application to do so. An FX app allows users to add Hollywood-type special effects to video people shoot on their phones and tablets.
Police allege whoever made and posted the video speaks during the video, "conveying a threat," police said in a media release.
Police have arrested a 44-year-old suspect, who was released on a promise to appear at a later court date.
