Early morning fire leaves one person injured

A Parent Avenue fire has left one person injured this morning. A Tenant was treated at the scene for minor burns from the fire that originated in the kitchen of the home in the early morning hours.

A Parent Avenue fire has left one person injured early Monday morning.

A tenant was treated at the scene for minor burns from the fire that originated in the kitchen of the home in the early morning hours.

The fire department says the problem was careless cooking.

The tenant was issued a ticket for disabling the smoke alarm.

Also this weekend, a fire caused extensive damage to an auto body shop in Windsor.

The fire started at A to Z Auto and Collision on Erie Street around 5 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

An investigator has listed the cause as undetermined.     

Damage is estimated at $325,000.
