The City of Windsor is securing a crumbling building at the intersection of University and Josephine avenues.
Workers braced the outer wall that runs parallel to Josephine Avenue on Wednesday.
A city official told CBC that similar bracing will be going up on Thursday or Friday at the rear of the building.
The property owner had until Tuesday to make sure the building was structurally secure.
However, the city has not been in contact with the owner since Monday.
The city official could not answer how long the bracing would be in place.
There are three options if the owner does not deal with the building. The city could take the matter to court, repair the building on its own, or demolish it.
