Bust nets $2M in drugs
An eight-month joint investigation by the OPP and Windsor Police has resulted in a $2 million drug bust, Ontario Provincial Police said late on Thursday.
OPP's Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, the Essex OPP detachment, and the Windsor Police raided nine locations in Windsor and Tecumseh, and seized mainly ecstasy, but cocaine and marijuana were also found.
Six people aged 21 to 41 were arrested and charged and police had outstanding arrest warrants for five others.
A total of 37 charges have been laid including trafficking, breach of court orders, possession of property obtained by crime, and firearm-related charges.
