Windsor police have arrested a man who was living in a woodlot on the city's edge, near LaSalle.

Police found the man living in a makeshift campsite in a city-owned green space south of the 2000 block of Spring Garden Road.

Officers say they found an e-bike, chainsaw, ladder, wheelbarrow, gas generator and several tool sets, including drills and socket sets, strewn around the site.

Police had previously investigated break and enters in the area on Aug. 5 and Aug. 31.

Shortly after, sever other complainants in the area have come forward and said they had items taken from their sheds.

Police conducted an investigation to try to establish ownership of the property discovered in the area.

The investigation led police to another residence in the 2200 block of Yorktown. Police said the same man, with the assistance of his 33-year-old friend, was bringing additional allegedly stolen property .

Police say the property at both locations was stolen.

A 36-year-old man has been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property and two counts of failing to comply with a condition of judicial release.

A 33-year-old man was arrested for possession of stolen property.
