The annual Bike the Bridge ride across the Ambassador Bridge is a go but it won't include a stop in Windsor.

Riders from both sides of the border will start in Detroit, ride across the bridge and back, with no stopover in Windsor.

The ride is set for this coming Sunday.

"They're going to bike across and then pretty well turn around and come back within the next 20 minutes to half hour," Coun. Alan Halberstadt said. "The bike committee wasn't totally pleased with it, but [the Detroit group] is in charge this year, so that's the way they decided to do it. So we'll see what happens, see how many Canadians they attract."

At the end of the ride, there will be a tour through southwest Detroit.
