Bank robbery suspect nabbed by police

LaSalle police have a man in custody in connection with last week's bank robbery. The 26-year-old Windsor man was already being held in Toronto for an immigration violation.

LaSalle police have a man in custody in connection with last week’s bank robbery.

The 26-year-old Windsor man was already known to police after he was arrested for an immigration violation on March 1.

Canada Border Services Agency tipped of LaSalle police after identifying the man, who was being arraigned in Toronto.

Police then searched a Windsor home and recovered evidence related to the robbery of the CIBC in LaSalle on Feb. 28.

He has since been brought to Windsor to face multiple charges, including robbery.
