Two children were sent to hospital after an all-terrain vehicle accident in Lakeshore, Ont.

Police said around 7:30 p.m. police responded to a call on East Ruscom River Road on Friday.

They said a nine-year-old boy was driving a smaller ATV with a five-year-old female on the back.

The boy struck a tree and flew off the vehicle.

The children were transported to Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital with minor injuries, and later taken to Windsor Regional Hospital's Metropolitan campus.

The girl sustained minor injuries and the boy suffered a fractured skull.
