Another Project Traveller arrest made in Windsor
Windsor police officers have made another arrest in relation to Project Traveller, a provincewide crackdown on gangs, guns and drugs.
Officers on patrol Saturday in the 300 block of Ouellette Avenue found a man known to police.
Officers did a computer background check on the man and learned that he had an outstanding arrest warrant issued by Toronto Police in relation to Project Traveller.
The 27-year-old Windsor man was arrested without incident and has been sent to Toronto, where he is to appear in court. Names and specific charges in relation to Project Traveller have not yet been released by Toronto Police but are expected in the near future.
The arrest was the 10th made in Windsor in relation to the massive sweep.
