The Sarnia Police Service is investigating another case of a cat being shot with a pellet gun.

Police say that sometime between July 11 and 12, a cat was shot in the face in the area of Lansdowne Avenue and Devine Street.

The cat was treated by a veterinarian and the pellet removed.

Police encourage people to report these incidents to police when they occur.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Sarnia police.

In February, a cat in Sarnia was shot in the head 17 times with a pellet gun.

A 19-year-old Sarnia, Ont., man faces two counts of animal cruelty after the injured cat was found on Feb. 2 in the Brights Grove area.
