Ambassador Bridge Co. ordered to repair boarded-up homes

The City of Windsor's building department has issued work orders to the Ambassador Bridge company to repair vacant buildings it owns.

Some in the neighbourhood call it a disaster area because of the boarded-up homes.

Coun. Ron Jones represents the area.

"When you see people who have gone to the length of getting lawyers to speak on their behalf as it pertains to the conditions, they've had to live under for a considerable length of time, people have been in touch with administration and said, 'We're tired of it. Here's what's wrong here. Here's what's wrong there,'" Jones said. "There was a blitz. The powers-that-be said, 'We're going to proceed with this.'"
