Windsor-Essex, Sarnia-Lambton and Chatham-Kent could see winds gusting up to 80 km/h Monday.

The high winds are expected after midnight following a dousing of about 25 millimetres of rain, according to Environment Canada.

"The worst of the winds would be later overnight tonight and then probably again on Tuesday afternoon, but still gusts of you know 60 or 70, those gusts are going to last even into early Wednesday" explained meteorologist Brian Owsiak. "It's a fairly extended period of stronger winds that we're worried about."

Owsiak added the system will also bring much colder temperatures, starting tomorrow.
