People will get an opportunity to get their hands on souvenir bricks from the former Grace Hospital and residence buildings in Windsor.
The city has salvaged 300 bricks.
Approximately 100 of them are already earmarked for the Grace nursing class of 1965 and the Grace Hospital Nurses Alumni.
Coun. Jo-Anne Gignac has asked city administration if the same can be done with the bricks that were salvaged when the Riverside Arena was torn down.
"At the time, I had some flats of bricks set aside in consideration of people who had mentioned they would like one and also thinking that Riverside Minor Hockey could use them as a fundraiser," she said. "If we're making a public announcement we have bricks available from Grace, can we also extend that to Riverside Arena?"
City officials will issue details soon on how people can receive a former Grace Hospital brick.
More than likely, they will have to call 311 to place their names on a list for one of the bricks.
