Festival of Ice, a charity gala for Haiti and a burlesque show to get you in the mood for Valentine's Day

The weekend is finally here. The little groundhog saw his shadow, but that doesn't mean we have to stay inside another six weeks.

There's an event called the Festival of Ice, a Charity Gala for Haiti, and a Burlesque Show to get you in the mood for Valentines Day.

CBC Windsor's Mike Evans has found all the hot events to attend this weekend.

1. Festival of Ice

The 14th annual Festival of Ice takes place in Harrow this weekend.

At least 10 of the wineries on the Wine Route around Harrow are taking part.

There will be wine sampling, ice carving, snowman building and live entertainment.

2. Haiti Charity Gala

This weekend marks the 15th annual charity gala Hearts Together for Haiti.

The event raises money to help children in Haiti living in poverty.

The gala is Friday at 5 p.m. and along with a five-course meal there will also be a raffle, silent auction and live entertainment.

3. I Love Burlesque

In the Valentine's spirit, I Love Burlesque is taking place Friday night at Windsor's Venue Music Hall.

There is comedy, dancing, cabaret, acrobatics, jazz and boy-lesque, which is burlesque performed by men

Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 9 p.m.
