It's the a long weekend for our Detroit neighbours but there's still plenty going on in Windsor-Essex.
Here are just a few of the events CBC Windsor's Mike Evans has scouted out:
1. The Amherstburg Ribfest
It runs from Friday to Sunday in Amherstburg's Centennial Park. Some of the best rib men and women in North America are taking part.
It's not just about the ribs though as they are making it fun for the whole family. There are carnival rides and live bands all weekend. As an added bonus, parking is free and admission is by donation, so give what you can.
2. The Fork and Cork festival
A little closer to home, here in Windsor is the "Fork and Cork festival".
There will be food and drink for all from Friday to Sunday night at Riverfront Festival Plaza.
They also have an impressive musical line-up this year including, The Unquiet Dead, The Blue Stones, Dave Russell, The Precious Stones, with Big Sugar headlining Saturday night.
3. Drinks of Walkerville
The Drinks of Walkerville walking tour starts at 1:50 p.m. at the Canadian Club Brand Centre building at 2072 Riverside Drive East on Saturday night.
Tour guides speak about the buildings of old Walkerville and the history surrounding them and as an added bonus give out samples of Canadian Club whisky and Walkerville Brewery beer.
