13-year-old stops stabbing incident in west Windsor

A 13-year-old boy stepped in to stop a stabbing incident on Windsor's west side.

A 47-year-old woman was stabbed Saturday night in Windsor.

It happened outside a house in the 800 block of Campbell Avenue at about 10 p.m.

After a brief foot chase, police arrested a 48-year-old man. He had also been injured in the incident.

Jaden Shaw,13, saw it all go down and stepped in to help the woman.

"I grabbed him and I swung him off her and I hit him. She got up and she just gushed blood from all over," Shaw said.

Shaw claims the daughter of the accused in the incident also saw what happened.

"She's three. She doesn't need to see someone get cut open like that. She doesn't need to see the inside of someone like that," Shaw said.

The victim had wounds to her stomach and hands. Police say she was taken to hospital in serious condition.

Police say a weapon was recovered near the scene.
