Wife of former aide to Romanow found dead
The RCMP is investigating what's being called the suspicious death of a former Saskatchewan resident.
Beverly Rowbotham, the wife of a former senior advisor to Saskatchewan premier Roy Romanow was found dead early Wednesday morning in Selkirk, Manitoba.
Mark Stobbe, Rowbotham's husband, made a call to police at 2:40 a.m. Wednesday. He told police his wife went to do some grocery shopping Tuesday evening and had not returned.
"She was a very good mother," said Betty Bachewhich, the sister of Rowbotham.
"We're in utter shock at these events," added Ed Bachewhich, Rowbotham's brother-in-law.
Rowbotham and Stobbe moved to Manitoba from Saskatchewan earlier this year. He works at the department of Industry for the Manitoba government.
