Ontario's Ministry of Labour is probing an incident at a retail store north of Toronto, where a worker became trapped under a skid of patio doors that fell on him.

Firefighters used the Jaws of Life on Saturday night when they rescued the 40-year-old male worker at a store in the town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.

The worker suffered injuries to his legs and foot, investigators say. He also had a cut on his head.

Sunday is the National Day of Mourning for workers who have lost their lives or been injured while on the job.
