Worker injured after falling off ladder near Weston and Steeles

A man in his 60s has fallen off a ladder while working near Weston Road and Steeles Avenue West in Toronto.

Man in his 60s has serious injuries, paramedics say

A man in his 60s has fallen off a ladder while working near Weston Road and Steeles Avenue West in Toronto. 

Paramedics say they received a call Saturday at 8:21 a.m. and responded to the scene near Toryork Drive and Ormont Drive.

They found a man with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, and he was transported to hospital.

Paramedics say they are considering the incident a "workplace injury."

Police say the fall is considered an "industrial accident." On Twitter, the force said the man fell from a "significant height."

The height at which the man fell from remains unclear. There are a number of industrial units in the area.
