A 23-year-old man was shot and killed in Woodbridge Wednesday night and York Regional Police are looking for three male suspects who were allegedly seen fleeing the scene in a small car.

Police responded to a weapons call at 73 Andrea Lane, in the area of Langstaff and and Ansley Grove roads, at around 10 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Silverio Feola of Vaughan.

Piera Jones, who lives across the street from the scene, helped perform CPR on Feola.

She says she feels shaken and hasn't had much sleep.

"I feel for the parents. They are very, very distraught," Jones said, fighting back tears.

Officers say they have reason to believe the incident was not random and that there is no danger to public safety at this time.

They are asking for any witnesses to the shooting to contact them.

Police previously referred to the death as "suspicious" but confirmed it was a shooting on Thursday morning.

Officers are continuing to investigate.
