Woman stabbed at Scarborough Town Centre

A woman is in hospital after what police say was a robbery gone bad at Scarborough Town Centre.

A woman is in hospital after a stabbing at Scarborough Town Centre. Emergency personnel were called to the east-end shopping mall just after 7:30 p.m., where they found a woman in her 20s suffering multiple stab wounds to her torso and head. 

She was rushed to a nearby trauma centre, where she is in stable condition. 

Police at 43 Division say it was a robbery gone bad. They say the victim was robbed inside the mall, chased two suspects outside to confront them, and was then stabbed. 

The suspects are described as two teenage females.
