A woman and her three children managed to escape unharmed from a fire that gutted their apartment in Toronto Wednesday night.

The blaze broke out just before 11 p.m. in a highrise apartment building on Falstaff Avenue near Jane Street and Highway 401.

Toronto fire says crews managed to contain the fire to one unit on the 22nd floor of the building.

The contents of the apartment were destroyed in the fire, but thankfully no one was hurt in the blaze.
