It's that time of year, when toy manufacturers begin drawing attention to the products they think children want to get their hands on.

The Canadian Toy Association let a group of kids try out the toys that the manufacturers think will be hot items for the holidays — and then unveiled their top choices to the media.

Some of the young toy-testers' favourites were high-tech, while others were more old school.
