Toronto St. Patrick's Day Parade

Starting Point: Bloor and St. George

The Toronto St. Patrick's Day Parade begins at 12 noon with the procession starting from Bloor and St. George (near old U of T Varsity Stadium). The Parade will continue along Bloor Street down Yonge and finishes on Queen Street at Nathan Philips Square. Olympic gold medalist Katie Taylor will be the Grand Marshal for the 2014 St. Patrick's Day Parade. The 27-year-old Irish boxer is the current Irish, European, World and Olympic Champion.

Hear about the Irish toll-keepers who worked at the tollgate in the 19th century. After seeing our little museum, and partaking of homemade Irish Soda Bread and tea, who knows? You might spot a leprechaun, or even speak a little Blarney! It's the day before St. Paddy's Day, but he wouldn't mind an early cup of tea.

The Art of Revolution

The exhibit focusing on the recent dramatic events in Ukraine has two parts. The first showcases posters from that appeared in Kyiv's Independence Square. The second is a display of Canadian photojournalist Marta Iwanek's photos and videos from Euromaidan.

Bollywood Dance Canada: The Competition

Bollywood Dance Canada is a Bollywood Filmi-Fusion Dance Competition. The Competition will be comprised of dance teams from all over Canada and the USA dancing to predominantly Bollywood-Filmi music and their choice of Fusion music. Participants showcase all types of South Asian dance forms as well as Western dance forms like hip-hop, jazz, and salsa to name a few.
