It hasn't felt like we've had much of a summer this year. Maybe the following events will change that feeling:

Epic Water Fight

Aug 23 (2 - 5 PM) Trinity Bellwoods Park (south-west side)

"Participate in Canada's Biggest Water Fight! Your chance to relive your childhood memories!" That's what the organizers promise. They also suggest to come prepared for some line-ups to fill up your choice of water blaster.

Festival of South Asia

Aug 23 - Aug 24 Gerrard Street (between Greenwood and Coxwell Ave.)

Event highlights include cultural entertainment represent Indian, Afghani, Pakistani, Bengali and Sri Lankan traditions, food from more than 20 restaurants at low, affordable prices, and even a fashion show. Bargain shopping and activities like a cricket challenge are also on offer.

Taste of Manila

Aug 23 - Aug 24 Bathurst and Wilson Ave.

Organizers describe the first ever Taste of Manila festival as a showcase of a wide variety of Filipino foods, games, cultural presentations, camaraderie, bands, folk dances, and Pinoy street games.

Aug 24 onwards Lula Lounge

In Concert: St. Royals
