Good morning! Temperatures will remain below freezing today, but enjoy a bit of a break from all the active weather we've seen in the city this week.

As of 7:30 a.m. it was –10 C in Toronto. Skies will be mainly cloudy with a forecast high of –3 C today. An extreme cold alert for the city was lifted this morning.

The clouds will stick around through this evening, with a 40 per cent chance of flurries and an overnight low of –9 C.

Warmer weather on the way

Temperatures are expected to stay around or just below the freezing mark through Saturday.

But Sunday a warm up is supposed to begin, the forecast high is 4 C and the temperature is expected to rise from there.

Monday the forecasted daytime high is set to hit 9 C to start off your work week and rise another degree for Tuesday with a high of 10 C.
