Toronto police have a man in custody after a spate of vandalism overnight across several streets in the area of Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West.
Two vehicles parked on Camberwell Road were damaged. In one case, a street sign with its metal pole attached was used to smash through a vehicle's window.
Garbage cans were also overturned and strewn on the street. There were reports the suspect appeared drunk and was screaming out loud.
The owner of one of the damaged vehicles told CBC News there have been several vehicle break-ins in the area recently.
Police say charges against the suspect are pending.
