Toronto police have made two arrests following reports a teenage boy was seen with a gun in a Scarborough neighbourhood.

Shortly after 11 a.m. police at 41 Division were told a teen boy had dropped a gun while riding a bus near Danforth Avenue and Birchmount Road.

He picked it up, got off the bus, and was seen walking toward nearby Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute.

Schools in the area were locked down as a precaution. By 12:30 p.m., police said they had arrested two 15-year-old boys near the school. There were no injuries and the school lockdowns were ended.
