TTC train evacuated east of Kipling station

Sixty passengers were evacuated from a subway train east of Kipling Station on Wednesday morning in an incident the TTC originally reported as a minor derailment just after 9 a.m.

No one hurt, delays expected

Sixty passengers were evacuated from a subway train east of Kipling Station on Wednesday morning in an incident the TTC originally reported as a minor derailment just after 9 a.m.

The TTC later clarified that statement and said no derailment had occurred. However, passengers were evacuated from the train, which was then moved back to Kipling station.

Subway service was suspended between Kipling and Islington stations before resuming just before 10 a.m.
